BSI BS 2782-7:Method 721A:1988

This method describes a procedure for assessing the flow of resin under heat and pressure from glass fabric impregnated with polyester, epoxy or silicone resin.

By appropriate choice of moulding conditions the method may be applicable to all types of resin impregnated substrates, e.g., paper, cotton fabric, cotton/synthetic fibre fabric, glass mat, glass rovings and also other resins, e.g., phenolic, melamine and polyamide.

NOTE The titles of the publications referred to in this standard are listed on the inside back cover.

Measures the percentage mass of resin exuded from stacked layers of impregnated fabric when pressed between heated platens.
