Magnetic materials -- Methods of measurement of the magnetic properties of isotropic nickel-iron soft magnetic alloys, types E1, E3 and E4
WITHDRAWN, 9/26/2003
Ring method under d.c. conditions:
The ring method under direct current (d.c.) conditions is used to measure insulation resistance and detect leakage currents in electrical machines and cables. This method involves passing a d.c. through the ring winding and measuring the resulting current to evaluate the condition of the insulation.
Ring method under a.c. conditions:
Under alternating current (a.c.) conditions, the ring method is applied to measure parameters such as inductance, impedance, and to analyze the performance of the winding under operational frequencies. This helps in assessing the integrity and performance of electrical machines in realistic working conditions.
