Lightning protection components (LPC) -- Requirements for conductors and earth electrodes
Requirements for conductors and earth electrodes are essential for ensuring electrical safety and proper functioning of electrical systems.
Conductors must be capable of carrying the expected current without excessive heating or voltage drop. They should be made of materials with good electrical conductivity, such as copper or aluminum, and adequately sized according to the system requirements.
Earth electrodes must provide a low-resistance path to earth to safely dissipate fault currents. Materials used should be corrosion-resistant and durable. The installation should ensure good contact with the soil and comply with local standards and regulations.
