This standard specifies a file format to support proper display of High Dynamic Range (HDR) still photos on TVs with HDR support. In a typical use case, this file format is used as a simple interface between a digital still camera and TV. Digital still cameras take a HDR Still Photo based on this file format. HDR Still Photo image data may be recorded to internal storage of digital still camera, memory card, USB memory stick, etc. TVs access a recorded HDR Still Photo image data on a medium by normal means and display it with HDR functionality. Similar to current Exif file format for SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) photo image data, this file format is designed to handle a single photo image as one file.
