The [CTA2088] standard specifies baseline device security capabilities and related organizational security capabilities and recommendations for devices and device systems, including for individual connected devices, endpoint devices, components, hardware modules, chips, software, sensors or other operating components. This document extends the baseline of [CTA2088] for robotics-specific requirements. Compared with a typical consumer device, robotics tend toward a more robust actuation (ability to impact the surroundings) capability, such as moving through a space and manipulating objects. Consumer robotics may also have architectural distinctions, such as being configured as a mobile portion with a base station for charging and connectivity. Drones or Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and self-driving vehicles designed for road use are not defined as a consumer robot for the purpose of this document.
